Sharon works as a practising artist from her studio/gallery in Newborough Village.
Here she produces original screenprints, pastel drawings, t.shirts, tea towels, printed glassware, creates jewellery and giftware.
Having commenced her art and screenprinting business in 1985 at the artists run space, ARC Yinnar in Gippsland, Sharon moved to her studio in Newborough in 1997 where she has her own larger studio.
Teaching Adult Education workshops is also another rewarding aspect to Sharon’s career as an artist. Sharon was not initially drawn to teaching but has found a desire to share her knowledge on to people who are eager to learn.
Sharon also screenprints garments for schools, clubs and business.
Sharon refers to herself as a ‘hopeless cat lover’ and has screenprinted many series of colourful edition prints featuring cats. Sharon has also created many artworks featuring native birds and flowers. A continuing series, is a fantasy storybook theme of black and white screenprints.
Some of Sharon’s pastel drawings are inspired from both Asian and Celtic imagery with a touch of Art Noveau. As with many of her pastel drawings Sharon was able to let her imagination go wild creating these fantasy images.

Occasionally a still life will be a nice addition to the collection. The ‘Still Life Stories’ show special drawn items that have stories attached to them whether they are from Sharon’s past or someone else’s.

- 2012-13 Global Studio Adult Education teaching screenprinting and bookbinding.
- 2012 Mural “Community” at Traralgon College. Worked as an artist in residence with the students and staff to help design and create the mural in the courtyard of the Junior Campus.
- 2012-13 Mural at Albert Street Primary School Moe. Artist in Residence working with students to design and paint exterior panels.
